Ulrike Wirth
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
Life can throw many challenges at us: anxiety, relationship problems, bereavement, sudden or chronic illness. Maybe you are finding that whatever helped you cope before no longer works for you now. Our difficulties connecting and communicating with others are often at the heart of our unhappiness. In therapy, we can explore where and how these difficulties arise.
I use an integrative approach and draw from a number of different theories and techniques. My overarching focus is relational - how we connect or fail to connect with others and how this affects every aspect of our lives.
My background is in the NHS cancer services where I provide psychotherapy to patients and their relatives, and facilitate reflective practice groups for clinicians. I have a special interest in cancer and the emotional impact of diagnosis and treatment.
If you are new to therapy, you may not be sure what to expect or where to start. It can also feel strange to talk about personal things to someone you don’t know. I offer an initial free phone call that gives us a chance to discuss what you are looking for and address any questions you have about the therapy process.
